When a job is finished, you can turn it into an invoice and get paid. Open Invoices, and Ready to invoice shows every completed job that is priced and has a customer. Pick the ones you want, set the invoice and due dates, and issue one invoice per job.
Send it and your customer opens it online and downloads a PDF. You mark it paid when the money comes in. Made a mistake? Void it with a reason and reissue. The original record and its number stay in history, nothing is ever deleted.
Invoicing lives on the web for now. It creates real financial records, it never just flips a flag on the job.
